PROJECT ACCESS TARRANT COUNTY PATC
SP TLIGHT AWARDS
F
or the third year, Project Access Tarrant
County invited current and past PATC
patients to participate in North Texas
Giving Day by giving a gift in honor of the doctor
who volunteered their medical services. While we
wish that we could honor these noble physicians
in person, we are excited to be able to do so here.
Thank you to these physicians and all volunteers
who give of their time and expertise to our
patients.
Jeffrey Applewhite, MD, Urology
Urology Partners of North Texas
Thank you from Alvaro
Dr. Applewhite has seen thirteen patients since 2013.
“Our patient had declining kidney function and a CT scan
showed bilateral kidney stones. With no medical insurance,
there was no chance he could pay for any of this required care,
and he was heading towards chronic kidney disease. Through
Project Access Tarrant County, our patient came under Dr.
Applewhite’s care. For the last 10 months and during a
pandemic no less, Dr. Applewhite has been working diligently
on his care, ensuring that he has functioning kidneys. It took
multiple surgeries to take out the kidney stone on one side
under Dr. Applewhite’s expert care, and treatment is ongoing
for the other kidney. All through this time, Dr. Applewhite
has provided tremendous medical care with great empathy.
Thanks to Dr. Applewhite’s continuous hard work, Alvaro’s
ongoing treatment gives him a shot at having a normal life
without ending up on dialysis or a transplant list in the future.”
-Saad Siddiqui, DO, Helping Hands Medical Clinic
Michael Boothby, MD, Orthopedic Surgery
The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute
Thank you from Salvador and Rosa
Dr. Boothby has seen eighteen patients since 2013.
“There is no doubt that evil exist in this world but there’s also
people with noble and kind hearts that without thinking twice
help and share the gifts that God has given them. If there
were more people like you, it would be a different and more
beautiful world. Thank you, Dr. Boothby.”
Taylor Bradley, DO, Gynecology
Thank you from Teresa
Dr. Bradley has seen seven patients since 2018.
“I went to the emergency room twice because my red blood
cell count was low. Soon I lost my job. Fortunately, I was
connected to Dr. Bradley and had a hysterectomy. I have a
desire to live now. I smile more; I have more confidence. I can
visit more with my family and enjoy their company. I plan to go
back to work. I am immensely grateful to Dr. Bradley for taking
my case and treating me with care.”
